Qualified Supervision

If you are a mental health intern/marriage & family intern (registered mental health counseling intern/registered marriage and family therapy intern) or looking for a qualified supervisor so that you can start you journey as a registered intern, I would be happy to be part of your journey. Please complete the following steps:

• Once interest form is reviewed, if a good fit you will be asked to complete and return contract to mollylmhc@gmail.com

• When contract is received, I will email a letter of intent to the Florida Board of Mental Health for review (you will be cc'd). 

• You will then receive an email for the board with approval- this must be forwarded to me and we can then begin supervision. (CURRENTLY THE BOARD IS TAKING ABOUT 30DAYS TO APPROVE)

Individual supervision (60mins)      ---------------------     $100 per session

Group supervision (60mins)       ----------------------       $75 per session

These rates are for virtual supervision (phone or video) in person available for select area and comes with a $25 increase in fee. 

(You will be invoiced the weekend before session and it must be paid prior to session time)

-When can we start?

Once you get the approval letter from the board, we can start!

-How often do I need supervision?

Supervision is required biweekly, but can be done weekly if preferred. (1500 direct hours and 100 supervision hrs, in no less than 100 weeks)

-Is supervision done in person?

I currently offer in person supervision to St. Augustine, FL and surrounding areas (Volusia, Flagler, Duval) but virtual supervision is currently allowed for all hours needed (via phone or video) until June 30, 2026 or otherwise noted.

-What will I get from my supervisor each session for documentation?

As your supervisor I complete a log that has basic information for the session that I initial. In addition, a new requirement is in the works which requires an additional QS Note to be signed each session by QS and intern (this will be signed and provided each session). At the completion of hours or supervision, I will provide copies of all your logs, you will already have copies of all QS notes (but if needed I can make copies) and I will send the board a verification form of your hours. 

-How many qualified supervisors can I have?

There is no limit.

-How many other interns are in group supervision?

Individual supervision is 1 or 2 people, when over 3 people it is considered group supervision and can be up to 6 people typically. 

-What if my employer is willing to pay for supervision?

In my experience, if your employer is willing to pay for your supervision there is typically 2 routes to that. 

1) You pay for supervision and then they reimburse you with my invoice.

OR 

2) I send a monthly invoice (billed on the 1st of upcoming month, due by the 15th of that month) for supervision and the company then compensates myself directly.
